Type of Service Being Offered:
Electricity supply services for your residence.
Deposit and Fees:
Nordic does not require a deposit. Nordic Energy does NOT assess any fees to you for switching to Nordic Energy.
Initial Term of Agreement:
The term of the agreement will begin with the first billing cycle after your enrollment is confirmed with the utility and continues for twelve months.
Nordic will arrange for delivery of 100% of Customer’s electric service. During the first three months of the Initial Term, you will be charged an introductory fixed rate of $0.056394 per kWh. During the remaining nine (9) months of the Initial Term, and after the Initial Term, you will be charged the Default Price, which price (per kWh) shall be calculated as follows: the day ahead locational marginal price (“LMP”) determined by the hour for the applicable delivery point (as defined by the ISO or RTO) plus $0.01 per kWh (the “Adder”) for all quantities of actual usage, plus distribution and transmission losses at the same price per kWh utilizing distribution and transmission loss percentages determined by the hour as defined by the Utility to determine the quantity of losses, plus unaccounted for energy (“UFE”) losses as estimated by Nordic, plus all charges billed by ISO or RTO, NITS, Ancillary Charges, Capacity Charges, RMR Charges, RPS charges (as established according to applicable laws and regulations in the State of Illinois) and delivery charges (ISO or RTO, NITS, and delivery charges shall be passed through to Customer in the amount charged to Nordic, excluding any credits back to Nordic, the benefits of which have been considered by Nordic in determining the Adder; Ancillary and Capacity Charges shall be calculated by Nordic in the manner outlined below; in the event actual costs are not available then Nordic shall use its best efforts to estimate the actual cost) (collectively hereinafter "Default Price"). Nordic will estimate when you use your power, and the Default Price will be applied based upon that estimated usage time. Your Default Price is a variable rate that changes by the hour, and it may increase or decrease based on market conditions over time.
The rates identified herein apply only to electric supply to the Utility, not to the other charges associated with Utility delivery. Customer is responsible for all charges relating to delivering electricity to Customer’s account(s).
Ancillary Charges means for any billing period the applicable charges regarding ancillary services as set forth in the applicable ISO or RTO Open Access Transmission Tariff (“OATT”), plus Regional Transmission Expansion Planning charges, RMR Charges, and the transmission cost enhancement charges as identified in the applicable OATT tariff, plus transmission charges, and all other RTO costs not included in the definition of Capacity Charges or in the energy price. Ancillary Charges are calculated by Nordic by totaling all of the aforementioned charges billed to Nordic and dividing the total by the usage of all Nordic customers, not just Customer, during the most recent calendar month. This results in a per unit rate for Ancillary Charges, applicable to all customers, which is then applied to your usage during your next billing cycle. Nordic may also increase this per unit rate in the event the charges in any prior month were not fully recovered in the subsequent month; this increase shall be calculated in the same manner as the aforementioned unit rate.
Capacity Charges are calculated by Nordic by multiplying Customer's unique PLC by the most recently available PLC rate applicable to Customer's zone and then multiplying that total by the number of days in the billing cycle.
After the Initial Term, your service will automatically continue on a month-to-month basis, but you can cancel at any time.
No Savings Guarantee:
At the time you request a quote, Nordic Energy may provide you with an estimated discount from the Utility’s Basic Service Rate (or other applicable rate). However, utility rates are likely to change during the term of your contract so savings are not guaranteed.
Early Termination Fee:
You will NOT be charged an early termination fee if you decide to cancel at any time.
Notification By Your Electric Utility:
You will receive written notification from your utility confirming your pending switch to Nordic Energy.
You may rescind the Agreement with Nordic Energy before the enrollment request is submitted to the electric utility by contacting us at 1-877-808-1022. Additionally you may rescind the contract and the pending enrollment within ten (10) days after your utility processes your enrollment request by contacting either Nordic Energy at 1-877-808-1022 or your utility company at the number listed below:
